"I came to explore the wreck.
The words are purposes.
The words are maps.
I came to see the damage that was done
and the treasures that prevail."
Adrienne Rich
Jessica Fox and Angela Vroom both spent childhoods getting lost in the woods, libraries and historic houses of New England. Both shared consuming teenage obsessions with storytelling, unusual female historical figures and theater. When they met as adults in Los Angeles a kindred creative pairing was born. Angela is a writer, meditation teacher and producer. She has taught and directed in public schools and with Project Shakespeare, an educational theater company for teenagers, works as a writer in collaboration with visual artists, and produces the feminist podcast Don’t Waste Your Pretty. Jessica is a writer, director and published author. Some of her credits include a Dresden Dolls tour documentary, Neil Gaiman's "Grand Guignol" experiment and NeverAfter, a fairy tale series in development with Gillian Anderson attached. Together they make Weird Sisters, where they create film and TV content re-telling history to feature strong heroines. They also feed their inner passion to bridge the worlds of science and art by story-consulting for tech organizations, including HiddenGenius, Nomadic Foundry and Vapor Communications.
